Table Tennis

Table tennis – or pink pong as itīs also known on the local scene – is once again a core feature of EuroGames.

We expect more than 100 participants from all over the world, who will fight dramatic battles in 15 disciplines.

Venue

Sports hall Feldmoching
Georg Zech Allee 15-17
80995 München

A restaurant is located in the hall.

Scoring will be according to the rules of the international, resp. the Bavarian table tennis association (ITTF/BTTV). We will use white Joola Super 40 *** balls and it takes 3 sets to win the match (with a maximum of 5 sets to be played).

Sportswear

we will only allow tricots and shorts in dark colours during the tournament (so colours like white, yellow or orange are expressly prohibited) without eye-catching patterns. Pl. restrain from track suits, cycling-shorts, bermudas or leggings. Such sports wear may even lead to a disqualification from the tournament. Sports shoes with light-coloured soles are obligatory.

Disciplines

women's-single
men's-single
women's double
men's double
mixed

Divisions

A, B and C in each discipline

Levels
Level A: players above regional league
Level B: advanced players up to regional leagues
Level C: hobby-players

Every competitor categorises him-/herself. Changes of the level cannot be considered anymore during the tournament.

All competitors have to be within reach at any time during the tournament. A player who does not report after three calls will be excluded from the tournament.

Mode of the tournament

The preliminary round will be played in groups and the best two players of each group will advance to the next round. The intermediate round will either be played in the K.O.-system or also in groups with semi-finals and finals to follow in the end.

The mode depends on the number of participants in each discipline. The organisers reserve the right for alternations and merging of disciplines.

The finals will be supervised by external referees, otherwise players themselves are responsible for keeping track of the score. However, at any time players may request the presence of an arbitrator for tracking the score in the case of disagreement.
