IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MEDIA REPRESENTATIVESDuring the EuroGames a press team 29 persons strong will be looking after you. On the day of your arrival, please obtain your accreditation at one of the counters for the press and then go to the Press Center, where you will be given further information. The Press Center opens on Thursday, 29th July. You can obtain your accreditation from 26th July onwards special press counters can be found in the "Kleine Olympiahalle" and the Info-desk in the Rainbow Village. ACCREDITATION
At the accreditation you will be issued with an Identity Card, which will admit you to all sports and cultural events. Photographs for the identity cards will be taken at this time. PRESS CENTER
We have set up working positions for you (with and without computers) in the Press Center. Laptops which you bring with you can be connected online (WLAN). The equipment also includes printers, fax, copiers and a bar. At the entrance a poster informs about highlights of the day ("What's on today") that might be interesting for you. Our press service team is happy to provide you with more detailed information about these highlights as well as with contacts for talks and interviews. Additionally, we report about the events of the day ourselves. You can find the most important news on our website in the press section. Here you can also download the latest photos. The latest press releases, a daily report and detailed background information on various aspects of the EuroGames are available at the press center. PRESS CONFERENCE
Following the round of your questions, we will be pleased to invite you to refreshments. Also on hand to answer your questions will be all the other EuroGames Board members, the sponsors and partners of the EuroGames, the representative for special needs and of course our press spokespersons. ACCESS REGULATIONS To all sport and cultural events as well as to the press center is exclusive access to accredited journalists with a EuroGames identity card. For the press conference on 29th July a regular press identity card is enough. PICTURE- AND SOUNDRECORDINGS Picture and sound recordings during the EuroGames are basically allowed. TV, radio teams and photographers, who plan to cover sport events in the Olympic Park and events of the culture program, please register at the press center in advance. Picture material from the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 29th July in the Olympic Hall will be provided by request. Bavaria's Public TV station (Bayerischer Rundfunk) will record the gala with five cameras. There will be a crane camera, a steadycam and three EB cameras. The material will be raw-files in beta-digital format 16x9 and is only to be used in combination with the reporting of the EuroGames! Commercial use is prohibited. Please contact the press center. Please notice, there will be a separate area near by the stage for TV teams during the opening event in the Olympic Hall . Floors to the arena have to be free at all times to provide free entry for the athletes. By order of the EuroGames there will be pictures of the Opening Ceremony made and we can provide them by request. First pictures will be out by Friday and can be seen under www.eurogames.info/2004. DIRECTIONS TO THE OLYMPIC GROUNDS Olympic Park from Munich Airport: S-Bahn train lines S1 or S8 towards City Center, to "Marienplatz" station, then change trains to the U-Bahn line U3 - to the "Olympiazentrum" at the end of the line. Olympic Park from Central Rail Station: U-Bahn train line U2 towards "Feldmoching", to "Scheidplatz" station, then change trains to the U-Bahn line U3 - to the "Olympiazentrum" at the end of the line. Olympic Park by road: coming from the north Autobahn A 9, from the west Autobahn A 8 or A 96, from the south A 8 or A 95, from the east A 94, towards "Mittlerer Ring West". The route to the Olympic Park and Stadium is signposted. In the Olympic Park there is parking available (3 Euro per day). |
