Every large-scale athletic event costs lots of money. Despite a large number of volunteers, despite the contributions of all the participants, despite ticket sales and despite all the economies undertaken – without sponsors and patrons, it just can't happen. This is why we're so proud, in this difficult economic situation, with marketing budgets tighter than ever, to have been able to arouse the enthusiasm of a series of major corporations for our EuroGames: Galeria Kaufhof am Marienplatzu, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Forum am Deutschen Museum, Löwenbräu AG, Hotel-Restaurant Deutsche Eiche, Munich Municipal Works, webport it-services, Aktion Mensch, DB Rent Call a Bike and Avis.
Thanks to our successful collaboration with the Thesus Agency in Munich, we were additionally able to acquire a group of important contributors and sponsors.
Our gratitude goes out to all our corporate partners, whose partnership with the EuroGames attests to their tolerance and Olympic international urban center spirit.
Thanks to a number of private contributors and a score of benefit performances such as "HoliGay on Ice", "BoyRo Games", "15 Jahre Tanz Lust" and the "Night of Variety" we were able to assemble sufficient contributions to enable many gays and lesbians, especially from Eastern Europe, to take part in the EuroGames through our Outreach Program.
At this point we would like to express our most heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding support we received from private individuals, associations and organizations and businessmen and women in the GayCommunity.
We would also like to
thank our travel agency contour Travel Service, the Olympiapark München GmbH and the Technische Universität München,
department of sport science, as well as the MVV (public transport) and the Munich Tourist Office,
which we are always allowed to accompany when there is another trip into the wide world coming up
