Squash

Venue

Squash will be played in the RSC Fit Factory near the Nymphenburger Schloss (Nymphenburg Palace), directly next to the Hirschgarten. The venue can easily be reached by public transport (tram and bus).

Days of competition

We play on Friday and Saturday, in both cases for the whole day.

Number of participants

We are very pleased that in Munich in 2004 we will be organizing the biggest gay and lesbian squash tournament in Europe! We are expecting from 120 up to a maximum of 150 participants.

Disciplines

There will be singles both for men and for women.

Categories

Play will take place at the levels A, B, C and D. Participants over 45 years old can register in Category E.

	A	highest level of play
	B	very good level, with tournament experience
	C	good level, possibly with some tournament experience
	D	beginners, without tournament experience
	E	participants over 45 years old

Rules

The international rules of the World Squash Federation apply - these can be seen at www.worldsquash.org. Each participant may register at one level. In the preliminary round play will take place in groups, then in the main competition under a simple knockout system. On Friday the preliminary round will be played, and on Saturday the main competition (with a consolation round).

Up until the quarterfinals all matches will be decide on a "best of three" basis, and after this the "best of five" applies. The organizers reserve the right to change the conditions as well as to reassign within categories.
