Peak Hohe Kiste Weilheimer Hütte

Tour description

We drive to Eschenlohe and then have a 1 hour 15 minute warm-up walk along a pleasant forest road with a relative climb until turning off into the valley, Pustertal.

The path becomes a steep track and the forest slowly thins out. After about 1 hour we reach the very pretty valley, Pustertal. We take a break of about 30 minutes here and enjoy the view of our goal.

The path now becomes more difficult, turns steep and also leads over a scree-slope. After 1 to 1.5 hours we should reach the summit and enjoy a proper break.

We can make a short detour to the catered mountain hut, Weilheimer Hütte. The path is flat and takes an additional 20 minutes.

The descent will probably follow the same route as the ascent.
