Vision: Building bridges

In sports as well as in the overall society there are various different groups encountering various different problems. But couldn't it be possible, that these problems and the ways of solving them aren't so different at all? This conference's aim is to build bridges between the groups and organizations of gay & lesbian sportspeople and groups and organizations of sportspeople with disabilities.

Bringing together glbt's (gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders), people with disabilities and sportspeople in general. What can we learn from each other? Probably a lot, so best practice and networking will be in focus!

The morning sessions will give an introduction and a broad theoretical overview on the topics homosexuality & disability, disability in sports and integration in sports and ends with a discussion among the speakers and the audience. After a lunch break, two different workshops will be held, which will bring the theoretical views into real life. In between there will be various short breaks to enable participants to build bridges and work out new networks.

Target group

Participants of EuroGames, delegates of gay and lesbian sports clubs, delegates working with disabled people, delegates working in mainstream sports clubs.
