Pinakothek der Moderne – Museum of Modern Art

The Pinakothek der Moderne is Munich's latest museum building and was opened in 2002; it is reserved mostly to 20th century art. The building whose architecture proved quite controversial, unites several museums under its roof: the Museum of Architecture of the Technical University, the Arts and Crafts Museum, the Collection of Prints and Drawings, the Museum of Modern Art. The vast scope of the permanent and temporary exhibitions makes a visit of the museum an absolute must.

To be started by the Pinakothek entrance hall (Barerstraße 40).
