Olympic Park

The Olympic Park – only 4 km away from downtown Munich – is one of the largest recreation and sports facilities in Europe. It was constructed for the XX. Olympic Summergames in 1972. Today the Olympic Park is an important tourist attraction. The tour leads you through the park and the sports facilities of 1972: the Olympic Stadium (place of the opening and closing ceremony) which today hosts the Bavarian soccer teams, the Olympic Hall, today place for many concerts and the Olympic Indoor Swimming Pool. You will receive a lot of interesting information on sports, history and architectural details, especially on the magnificent construction of the Olympic Roof.
