THE OUTREACH PROGRAM

Participants from all over Europe are invited to join in the EuroGames 2004. Unfortunately, gays and lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals are not able to live as freely and unconstrained everywhere else, as they can in Germany. And not every sportswoman and -man that would like to participate in the EuroGames, is able to afford the registration fee. The EuroGames therefore offer an Outreach program which is a kind of scholarship that supports participants from specific countries financially.

For those sportswomen and -men who participate in the Outreach-program, the EuroGames initially take over the registration fee. For the social and cultural activities we provide free tickets, we pay for the public transport and hand out food vouchers. Accommodation is allocated – either cheaper or completely free of charge – to participants of the Outreach program.

This benefit is for participants from the following countries

Everybody can apply for the Outreach program whose monthly net-income is below 630 Euro (proof of which would have to be brought in form of the tax return or salary slip) and who is a citizen of one of the following countries:

Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Israel/Palestine, Croatia, Letland, Lithuania, Malta, Macedonia, Moldavia, Portugal, Poland, Rumania, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Vatican, White Russia und Cyprus.

How can I profit from the Outreach-program?

To be considered for this benefit, you go to our online registration and you mark the space provided for "Outreach-Program" when filling out your personal details on the application form. Afterwards send a copy of your income-tax return or salary slip, either by post, e-mail or fax to the EuroGames. For the accreditation in the "Rainbow Village" however, where you will receive your participation documents, an original of income tax return or salary slip will have to be presented.

Please don't provide us with money until your Outreach program application has been approved. Since we are unable to predict, how many participants will apply for this program and as our financial resources are rather limited, we can only inform during the first quarter of 2004 at the earliest, as to whether we are considering your application. Of course we will keep your reservations in the various sports activities for you until then.

Should we have to reject your application, you may still enter the EuroGames without the benefits, by paying the full participation fee. During this time your reservation is still valid.

We are hoping for your understanding, that a claim for receiving benefits in form of the Outreach program does not exist.
