Bavarian Olympian in Theatron   01/08/2004 10:38 am

Right in the centre of the Olympiapark, at the edge of the Rainbow Village is the Theatron, an outdoor theatre. Since Thursday there´s been a plethora of shows and music runing here. This evening the Bavarian wildwater slalom goldmedal winner, Thomas Schmidt, will say a few words to the EuroGames. The show program held at the Theatron has been arranged by the Cultural department of the Munich Town council.

Since Thursday the sportsmen and women taking a break between matches or competitions have been able to enjoy bands, impro-theatre and Cabaret at the openair lakeside theatre- the Theatron.
The Bavarian wildwater slalom goldmedal winner, , will say a few words to the EuroGames from the theatron stage whilst the Bavarain minister of culture, Monika Hohlmeier, sends the Bavarian Olympic hopefuls off to Athens.
Thomas Schmidt, one of the goldmedal favourites for the upcoming Olympics will say a few words at 1700h.

Amongst others on stage at the Theatron will be today and tomorrow the singer Torsten Riemann of the Deutsche Theatre, Munich with the Lebeshilfe club. The show program held at the Theatron has been supported to the tune of thousands of Euros by the Cultural department of the Munich Town council.
